When Jon Snow interviewed Sir Mervyn King last night words like “banks” “economy” and “money” were unsurprisingly regularly used – but what else was on the Governor’s mind?
The Governor of the Bank of England, in his first-ever live interview, could be forgiven for taking a somewhat dour tone in his interview, considering the five years he has been dealing with an economic crisis, and words such as “depression”, “stressful” and “concerned” were also repeated.
However, references to key people such as Chancellor George Osborne and Prime Minister David Cameron were non-existent.
