Israel’s opposition leader Yair Lapid has declared that the country has lost faith in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – declaring he “must go now”.

Israel’s longest serving prime minister has been accused of putting the future of his own governing coalition above the national interest and fostering divisive civil unrest.

And that was before October 7th, the bloodiest single day in Israel’s history.
