Where we stand in the global race for a Covid vaccine

There is increasing consensus among scientists that we are going to need more than one vaccine to escape the coronavirus pandemic.

Globally there are over 100 possible candidates being worked on by teams of scientists across the world.

Ayshah Tull has been to Cambridge University today to meet researchers there who are optimistic that their novel approach will mean a vaccine which could be used for all coronaviruses.
