White House defends Joe Biden’s Hunter pardon

President Biden repeatedly said he wouldn’t interfere in his son’s legal proceedings. But with Donald Trump returning to the White House with lots of scores to settle, he has now reneged on that promise. He’s given Hunter Biden a full and unconditional pardon, saving him from a possible jail sentence for gun and tax offences.

Donald Trump called it “an abuse and miscarriage of justice”. And many Democrats aren’t happy either.
