White House says US withdrawing troops from Syria

Reports that President Trump is planning to abruptly pull all US troops out of Syria because, he says, ISIS has been defeated, have been met with surprise, both in Washington and across the world.

The Pentagon insisted the campaign against ISIS was not over, while members of Congress and the international coalition are calling for an immediate explanation.
