WHO declares Central and South America as new epicenter of coronavirus pandemic

The World Health Organization declared this week that the central and south America have emerged as the new epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic – passing Europe and the US in daily infections. Brazil’s daily death rate became the highest in the world on Monday with warnings the country’s death toll could climb significantly. Our international editor Lindsey Hilsum is in Sao Paulo.
