Will police tackling protests outside Parliament keep MPs safe?

A government-commissioned review into political violence is calling for police to be given special powers to tackle protests outside Parliament.

It comes after the Speaker of the House of Commons said that concerns over MPs’ safety influenced his controversial handling of the Gaza ceasefire debate.
