Windrush scandal: government extends compensation deadline

Some were deported, some lost their homes and jobs. Now, the Home Office says it’s extending the deadline for responses to the planned Windrush compensation scheme, amid growing opposition to the proposal to cap awards.
The daughter of one victim, Sarah O’Connor, whose funeral was last week, told this programme that the government failed her mother and must show humanity by giving people the compensation they deserve.
