Women-led start-ups could unlock £250 billion economy boost

The UK economy will get a staggering £250 billion boost if women start up businesses at the same rate as men.

That’s the prize held out by a report from Alison Rose, a senior banker with RBS and one of the most high profile women in the City.

She wants the British financial system to push more funds into women-only startups.
