World ‘not making progress as fast as necessary’ says climate scientist

Amid all the numbers, targets and buzzwords that have begun emanating from Sharm El-Sheikh, the key aim of the COP27 summit remains a clear one: limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels.

But is it really credible to claim that 1.5 degrees is still alive?
