“You are treated equally as a consultant or a doctor”, Syrian filmmaker who is volunteering as a cleaner at his local hospital

Hassan Akkard, a BAFTA award-winning filmmaker, made an 87 day journey to the UK from Syria.

He is now working as a cleaner at Barts Hospital in East London, and spoke to Channel 4 News from his home.
