Young people feel politicians do not listen or care about them, says survey

Matt Frei: Many young people feel politically powerless and disengaged. They think politicians either don’t listen to them or don’t really care.  And they are increasingly turning to social media platforms for their news.

These are the findings of a new survey from the Social Mobility Foundation, seen exclusively by this programme – which involved 3,500 young people aged 16 to 24, from lower and higher income backgrounds.
