Zahedan: Inside the weekly protest defying Iran’s clerical regime

In Iran, thousands have been arrested and hundreds killed in the regime’s crackdown on nationwide protests triggered by the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody last year.

And yet the demonstrations continue. In the city of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province, rallies are held every Friday, without fail.
