“Ukraine’s future is in Nato” – just not quite yet – that is the message from the alliance meeting in Vilnius today.
As President Zelenskyy arrived at the summit he expressed his exasperation at the lack of an invitation or even a clear timetable for when Ukraine might be able to join the club.
Speaking to a crowd in the Lithuanian capital Ukraine’s President said that “Nato will make Ukraine safer and Ukraine will make Nato stronger”.
