World leaders met for the second day at the G7 conference in Hiroshima, joined by Ukrainian president Volodymr Zelenskyy.
It comes as the paramilitary Russian Wagner group claimed victory in Bakhmut, the Ukrainian city which has been the centre of fighting for months.
But the day opened with a joint statement from the G7 nations to a different country – a condemnation of China amid rising tensions over economic and military action.
