Zimbabwean troops accused of ‘systematic torture’

Zimbabwe’s government-appointed Human Rights Commission has accused the military of using “systematic torture” to break up protests against the authorities, after a week of unrest sparked by rising fuel prices.

Earlier this week we interviewed a group of badly injured young men who said they had been dragged from their homes and beaten by soldiers. Today we tracked them down. Despite terrible injuries they were beaten again and arrested. Our report contains some images that viewers may find distressing.
