10th Anniversary for Noel Edmonds and Deal or No Deal on Channel 4

•    Noel Edmonds set to celebrate tenth anniversary in The Dream Factory next year as Deal or No Deal is commissioned for a new series on Channel 4
 
•    The new deal comes as a fresh twist to the format is introduced later this month - The Offer Button, which requires players to use their judgement to gain an unprecedented element of control over the Banker during the game

•    Alan Carr is set to take the walk of wealth for Stand Up to Cancer later this year

•    Since launching on British television in 2005, Deal or No Deal paid out over £39 million in prize money to over 2,650 contestants

Deal or No Deal, presented by Noel Edmonds, will mark its tenth anniversary on British television next year as Channel 4 have commissioned 288 brand new episodes of the much-loved afternoon hit.

The deal comes as an exciting new game play twist is introduced- The Offer button. From the 28th September, players will have the ability to earn an unprecedented element of control in their game. If contestants can successfully predict the opening offer from the meanest man on telly- The Banker, they gain a one-time use of the Offer Button, which can be pressed at any time and means The Evil One must immediately call make them an offer. Players must able to read the game board and exercise their judgement to foresee the Banker’s first offer to use this exciting new twist to their full advantage.

Also coming up later this autumn is a celebrity special with Alan Carr taking the walk of wealth for Stand Up to Cancer.

Deal or No Deal first launched on Channel 4 in the UK in 2005. Since the show began over £39 million has been paid out in prize money to over 2,650 contestants.

To date, seven people have become quarter millionaires with five women and two men winning the jackpot of £250,000. Celebrities including Joan Collins, James Corden, Olly Murs and Louis Walsh have all taken the walk of wealth for their chosen charities. In the show’s history over 58, 000 boxes have been opened and the amount of Pilgrims to enter the studio would fill Wembley Arena twice.

With such an incredible milestone on the horizon and a new way to Beat the Banker, the next series of Deal or No Deal is set to be one of the most exciting and unmissable yet.

Deal or No Deal on Channel 4 is produced by Remarkable Television, an Endemol company. The Executive Producer is Richard Hague and the series was commissioned by Channel 4’s Head of Daytime David Sayer.

The format was created by Endemol Netherlands in 2001 and has sold to over 75 countries and has been aired in countries as far flung as the USA, Afghanistan, Armenia, China, Nicaragua, Slovenia, New Zealand, Lebanon, Japan and Israel.
