Channel 4 and E4 cross-channel and cross-genre programming achievements are recognised with 19 nominations for this year's British Academy Television Craft Awards.
Drama leads the way with recognition for no fewer than four productions. William Boyd's brilliant adaptation of his own novel, the critically-acclaimed drama Any Human Heart starring Matthew Macfadyen and Jim Broadbent, garnering five nominations.
Another four go to Shane Meadows' extraordinary contemporary drama series This is England ‘86, including Best Director: Fiction for Meadows. E4's Misfits receives two nominations and Peter Kosminsky's landmark series The Promise is also nominated.
In addition, both Channel 4's Million Pound Drop Live and Big Fish Fight seasons are nominated for the Digital Creativity Award. Flagship news and current affairs strand, Dispatches, receives a Best Director: Factual nomination for Dan Reed's film, The Battle for Haiti.
Single documentary Concorde's Last Flight is in the running for Editing: Factual. Quirky narrative comedy Pete Versus Life features in the Break-Through Talent category, and writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley are jointly nominated for E4's award-winning The Inbetweeners.
