3.3 million watch Bethany Woodward take silver in T37 200m

Bethany Woodward's silver medal performance in the 200m T37 drew Channel 4's biggest peak audience for Paralympics coverage last night with 3.3 million watching at 8.55pm - and 3.6 million including the Paralympic Extra streams.  The athletics coverage peaked several times with 3.3 million viewers, including also for the Women's T46 100m and during coverage of the heats of the men's 100m T44 - ahead of tonight's final in which Great Britain's Jonnie Peacock competes in a field which includes South Africa's Oscar Pistorius, American Jerome Singleton and Brazil's Alan Oliveira.

The Paralympic Games 2012 Tonight programme continued to maintain strong peak time viewing figures with an average of 2.5 million viewers, 12 percent share, watching from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.  The late afternoon coverage from the swimming averaged 1.5 million viewers, 10 percent share, from 5.25pm to 7.00pm - peaking with 1.9 million viewers.

The through-the-day Paralympics coverage helped Channel 4 record an average share of 9.5 percent across the day on Wednesday - up +31% on the previous 12 month average.
