4Funnies - Channel 4's New Comedy Strand

Channel 4 today announced a new comedy strand - 4Funnies.

4Funnies showcases new comedy with thirty minute pilots and replaces the comedy showcase strand. The transmittable TV pilots will provide an opportunity to talent who have already made a mark within the industry and have series potential.

The new pilots announced in the first run include: RubberBandits, Brian Gittins starring David Earl, Dr Brown and Uncle starring Nick Helm. All four of the talents behind these pilots have emerged through Channel4's Comedy Blaps, which is the online new comedy talent initiative.
