Animal welfare standards might have come a long way in the UK, but most of the country's chickens are still reared intensively, 60% of pigs still spend their whole lives in sheds, and tens of thousands of dairy calves are needlessly slaughtered each year because it's too expensive to rear them. But in these cash-strapped times, a lot of customers can't afford to care about free range food. Rare breed pig farmer Jimmy Doherty has a dream to make free range food affordable for everyone. So he's challenged Britain's biggest supermarket, Tesco, to let him prove he can do it, and they've agreed. In this first episode, Jimmy tries to transform Tesco's best-selling own brand meatballs.

But they can only have one companion in the lift at a time, so when the doors open the dater must decide whether to stick with their current ride or select someone new. Between floors, they have some fun with quirky icebreakers designed to help them get to know each other better. Up in the penthouse, presenter Will Best is joined by family and friends, watching to see if love blossoms. But when the lift reaches the top, the tables turn and the successful suitor faces a dilemma of accepting the date or turning them down in order to gamble for a cash prize. In the first episode, Manchester lass Olivia is treated to some spectacular dancing, a celebrity dinner party and a very unusual massage, all inside the love shaft lift! There's also a surprise guest who throws a spanner in the works. But will Olivia's chosen beau select her or the cash?

The hit US drama premieres its first season on E4. Emily Thorne (Emily Van Camp) is the newest arrival in the Hamptons. She appears to be a friendly and sophisticated 'girl next door', but has a dark family history and is not what she seems. Seventeen years ago, her father was framed for a crime he didn't commit by neighbours he trusted, and sentenced to life in prison. Emily never saw him again and spent her childhood consumed by rage, loss and betrayal. Now she's returning under an assumed identity with just one goal - revenge - and every social overture she makes is a carefully planned chip at the foundation of her sworn enemies. Emily rents the seaside home she once shared with her father and, with the help of her only friend, events planner Ashley, sets her sites on her first target and puts her carefully organised plan in motion. Her focus unexpectedly wavers when she comes across Jack, a friendly face from the past, makes a new romantic connection with the son of her sworn enemy, and is pushed into an uneasy alliance with the only person who knows her secret. Madeleine Stowe, Henry Czerny and Josh Bowman also star.
