8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown is back!

8 out of 10 Cats host Jimmy Carr and team captains Sean Lock and Jon Richardson are back to take over the classic letters and numbers quiz in a new series of 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Kicking off with a Christmas Special, a whole host of familiar faces from the worlds of comedy and entertainment will join Jimmy, Sean and Jon in the Countdown studios for more comedy innuendos, unpredictable conundrums and laughs a plenty.

As ever, Countdown’s resident lexicographer Susie Dent will preside over Dictionary Corner with a special guest each week. Comedian Joe Wilkinson will be back to questionably assist the Queen of the Numbers, mathematician Rachel Riley.

Guests this series will include David Mitchell, Jack Whitehall, Johnny Vegas, Vic Reeves, Bob Mortimer, Reginald D. Hunter, Aisling Bea, David Baddiel and Alex Horne & the Horne Section.

Meanwhile, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown has also been nominated for four British Comedy Awards. Sean Lock is up for Best Male Television Comic and Joe Wilkinson for Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist, while the show is up for Best Comedy Panel Programme and Best Comedy Moment of 2014.
