ANIMAL RESCUE LIVE: SUPERVET SPECIAL STARTS TONIGHT, CONTINUES NIGHTLY – 8 PM
The Supervet, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, introduces an amazing rescue story in tonight’s first show, in the hope that there will be many more made this week.
P D Cooper was found wandering the streets before being rescued by the RSPCA and living in their Taunton rescue centre for seven months. Then he was spotted by a handler at the Avon & Somerset Police, who immediately spotted Cooper’s special potential and introduced him to handler PC Tim Ross from Staffordshire police.
They bonded instantly, and after training Cooper started operational duties in April 2018. He’s the very first staffie police dog in Staffordshire, hugely loved by his colleagues, and with his very own devoted 10,000-strong Twitter following. Noel met Tim and Cooper to see them in action and hear their story.
