Anna & Katy - coming soon to Channel 4

Comedy partners and sketch surrealists Anna Crilly and Katy Wix announce their much-anticipated TV show Anna & Katy with a six-part series for Channel 4.

 Due to air in early 2013, the character-driven sketch show will showcase the pair's wonderfully absurd and off-the-wall comedy creations. From daft TV pastiches such as ‘Rice Britannia' an expertly observed parody of The Great British Bake-Off, to daytime show 'Congratulation!' where people write in to be congratulated for completing life's minor tasks, audiences will get a window into ‘the unfathomable genius of Anna Crilly and Katy Wix'.

Produced by Roughcut Television, the series also provides a platform for some of the most exciting up-and-coming names from the comedy circuit such as William Andrews and Tom Bell, while featuring inspired cameos from the likes of Martin Kemp and Duncan Bannatyne plus some familiar comedy faces including Ruby Wax.

British Comedy Award nominee Anna Crilly's previous credits include Lead Balloon (BBC2) and Sorry I've Got Know Head (CBBC) while Writer's Guild Award nominee Katy Wix's previous roles include Torchwood (BBC1) and Not Going Out (BBC1). Roughcut TV's Jon Petrie will produce the show with The Office producer Ash Atalla as executive producer. FremantleMedia Enterprises will distribute the series internationally.
