On Saturday, November 23rd Channel 4 Racing will broadcast the £200,000 Betfair Chase live from Haydock Park Racecourse, which has attracted a stellar cast and been tagged as a mini Gold Cup!
10 equine superstars line-up in at the early entries stage for the 3:00pm contest that include reigning Gold Cup champion, Bobs Worth, who is set to take on fellow stablemate and former Champion title holder, Long Run. Last season’s winner Silviniaco Conti, Tidal Bay and Festival winner, Cue Card also feature in the list of possible contenders.
Channel 4’s racing coverage starts at 8am with The Morning Line presented by Alice Plunkett and special guest Tom Scudamore (jockey). Complementing the morning racing preview will be the Dark Horse feature strand where Sam Thomas (jockey) casts his eye over Corrin Wood from the Donald McCain stable. Mattie Batchelor (jockey) will once again visit a changing-room colleague to provide an informative and light hearted insight into his racing counterparts.
Afteroon racing starts at 1:30pm with seven races from Haydock Park and Ascot Racecourses with the feature race – the Betfair Chase off at 3:00pm. Nick Luck leads the team that includes Alice Plunkett, Rishi Persad, Mick Fitzgerald, Graham Cunningham, Simon Holt and Tom Lee.
