Brave New World examines how scientists are battling the world's big killer diseases, breaking down the barriers between man and machine and expanding our understanding of the universe. From the shores of the Pacific to the ice-storms of Canada, the team of experts unearths the amazing breakthroughs that are transforming the resilience and strength of the human body.

The series also visits the DNA banks at the Natural History Museum and the bayous of Louisiana to highlight environmental concerns and reveal how science is battling to save the planet and protect the human race. The experts explore how 21st century technologies - from 3D printing using lasers to the latest advances in space exploration - are shaping our future by changing the way we live.
