British Comedy Awards - citation readers and special award recipients

The cream of comedy and some other funny faces will be attending The British Comedy Awards tonight (12th December), live on Channel 4 from 9pm. There are 13 gongs up for grabs including two very special awards. A host of famous faces are queuing up to hand them out including Kelly Brook, Cuba Gooding Jr, Louis Smith and the glamour queen herself Joan Collins. To find out who wins tune in to Channel 4 from 9pm.

Two very special awards will be given out at tonight's (12th December) British Comedy Awards. Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer will be awarded The Writer's Guild of Great Britain Award. On hearing that they had been given this accolade, Vic Reeves says " I am most cock-a-hoop over being awarded this most prestigious of trophies" and Bob Mortimer says "I'm really proud that Jim & I have always written our own guff. It's great to have that recognised". To see who has been honoured with ‘The British Comedy Outstanding Achievement Award' tune in to Channel 4 tonight from 9pm where it will also be revealed who the public have voted as their King or Queen of Comedy.
