Broadcast Awards 2012 shortlist: Channel 4 scores 22 nominations

Channel 4 have dominated in the Popular Factual and Documentaries categories, receiving half of the nominations for each, and two nominations for the Best Documentary Programme category.

Hugh's Fish Fight reeled in a nomination for both Best Popular Factual Programme and Documentary Series, whilst Jamie's 30 Minute Meals cooked up a nomination in the Best Daytime Programme and in the Best International Programme Sales categories.

Friday Night Dinner received two nominations for Best New Programme and Best Comedy Programme category, whilst Bafta-award winning E4 series Misfits and Any Human Heart were both nominated for Best Drama Series or Serial.

Channel 4 News and Current Affairs were recognised with three nominations; Sri Lanka's Killing Fields received a nomination for Best Documentary Programme alongside More4's For Neda, and Channel 4 News' Japan Earthquake and UK's Summer Riots' both scored nominations in the Best News Programme category.
