C4 Paralympics Extra

C4 Paralympics Extra is a new service that gives viewers up to three extra video feeds of action from the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

The Paralympics Extra service runs from August 30th to September 9th when there are countless thrilling events happening live at London 2012 Paralympic Games venues.

It is available on Sky, Freesat, VirginMedia, and also on Freeview HD.

And of course, these three video feeds are also available online.

 

How to get it:

There are a few ways to get C4 Paralympics Extra: 

If you have Sky, you can Press the Red button where you will be taken to a screen where you can choose between the three extra feeds.

You will also find these three feeds directly on the Sky Guide at channel numbers:

450, 451, & 452. (If you have HD, these will be the HD versions. If you have SD, they will be SD.)

 

If you have Freesat, you can find three Channel 4 Paralympics Extra channels in the guide at: 150, 151 & 152.

If you have Freesat-HD, these channels will be in glorious High Definition at those numbers.

 

If you have VirginMedia-HD, you can find the Channel 4 Paralympic Extra channels in the guide at: 550, 551, & 552.

If you have VirginMedia, but not the HD version, they are at 553, 554, and 555.

If you have Freeview HD, Press Red while watching C4HD and a banner will pop-up that will allow you to switch between the extra video service and C4HD.

• C4HD is available on a TV or box that can get Freeview HD, on Channel 52.
• The service isn't available on a non-HD Freeview box.
• Freeview HD consists of just one extra video feed; all the others services have three.

 

When will these appear?
The services will begin to appear in EPGs from August 28th

Can I record these extra programmes?
The events will appear in your guide. If you have a recorder, you can set it from there.

Will I have to pay for these services?
The services are free-to-air. You don't have to pay for them individually on top of any subscription.

What are the channel names?
Depending on which provider you have, they will be called C4 Para 1, C4 Para 3, or somesuch.
