'I don't suppose you've got any Vivaldi?'

In an innovative new partnership with Red Bull, Channel 4 will broadcast 31 simultaneous live streams on Channel4.com from Red Bull Revolutions in Sound from 7.30pm on Thursday 14th November 2013, the highest number of live streams a broadcaster has ever hosted.

As Red Bull’s Revolutions in Sound takeover the EDF Energy London Eye for a celebration of UK club culture, each live stream on Channel4.com will broadcast from one of 30 capsule gigs unleashing access to clubland’s most legendary club nights including Fabric and The Hacienda as they play host to over 100 DJs and artists including Lily Allen, Katy B, Skream, Rudimental (DJ set), Ritchie Hawtin, Goldie, Gilles Peterson and a whole host of other performers.

Channel 4’s own unprecedented television, online and music event House Party will be showcasing the talents of DJ EZ and CJ Beatz in their capsule – with one bonus live stream featuring the night’s highlights live throughout the evening from London’s Southbank presented by internationally renowned club and radio DJ Annie Mac.

Channel 4 will record an exclusive ad featuring DJ Annie Mac filmed on location at London’s Southbank just before the night’s action kicks off and will broadcast the ad simultaneously across Channel 4’s portfolio of channels in a ‘roadblock’ premiere ad break at 19:59hrs on the night. Annie will encourage viewers to tune into the live streams on Channel4.com’s dedicated Red Bull Revolutions in Sound page (enabled by You Tube players) where viewers will be able to seamlessly switch between live streams from the London landmark’s 30 pods.

Channel 4 will be using on air and social channels to drive viewers to Channel4.com and music fans can follow @C4HouseParty’s tweets throughout the build-up to the event and live on the night.

Danny Peace, Agency Principal at Channel 4 said: “We’re very excited to be hosting this much anticipated Red Bull event on Channel4.com giving viewers unprecedented access to the sell out night online, as it happens, through our live streams – and a quick turnaround ad capturing the excitement of the night road-blocked across Channel 4 for TV viewers. Throughout this partnership Channel 4 Sales have worked creatively with Red Bull, leveraging our brand, to deliver a truly bespoke engaging campaign experience.”

About Red Bull Music Academy

The latest edition of the Red Bull Music Academy took place in New York City in Spring 2013, marking its fifteenth anniversary and bringing together 62 carefully selected producers, vocalists, beat-makers, instrumentalists and DJs from 35 countries.

More than 1,500 musical luminaries have participated in the Red Bull Music Academy. Lecturers have included Brian Eno, Nile Rodgers, James Murphy, Erykah Badu, Giorgio Moroder, Skream, Chuck D, Steve Reich, Sly & Robbie, Mark Ronson, M.I.A., Hot Chip, MF Doom, RZA, Gilberto Gil and pioneering synth inventor Bob Moog, amongst others. Many Academy alumni have gone on to become true innovators of their scenes like LA soul singer Aloe Blacc (“I Need A Dollar”); experimental electronic music producer Flying Lotus, currently collaborating with Odd Future and Thom Yorke; and Katy B, who’s credited with introducing the sound of London’s dubstep and garage scene to the pop mainstream; as well as both members of TNGHT: Hudson Mohakwe, signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. empire, and Quebecian beatsmith Lunice.

The Red Bull Music Academy has been pairing industry legends and emerging music makers since 1998 in cities such as Berlin, Cape Town, Melbourne, Barcelona, Rome, São Paulo and London. This unique combination of old school knowledge and new school sounds is unrivalled for its creative exploration and achievement. Each Academy edition leaves behind structures to encourage musical collaboration and creative exchange for years to come. By the end of 2013, there will be ten Red Bull Music Academy recording studios around the world, including the latest incarnation in NYC’s Chelsea district, designed by Jeffrey Inaba.
