Tamsin Greig (Mum)

Tamsin Greig had a brilliant diverse 2010 which started with her critically acclaimed performance as The American Agent, Diane, in The Little Dog Laughed at The Garrick Theatre then Beverley in Episodes for BBC/ Showtime/ HatTrick and finally the part of Jackie Goodman in Friday Night Dinner for Channel 4.

Previous television appearances include the ground-breaking series People Like Us for the BBC, and Channel 4's Black Books with Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey.  She won a BAFTA nomination and received The Royal Television Award for Best Comedy performance for her performance as Dr Caroline Todd in Green Wing.

She played the lead, Alice, in Love Soup, Edith Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank and Miss Bates in the BBC's serial of Jane Austen's Emma.

The film of Tamara Drewe directed by Stephen Frears, which was an out of competition hit at Cannes, gained Tamsin a British Independent Film Award for her performance as Beth.

In the theatre she won both The Olivier and Critics Award for her performance as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and received critical acclaim for her performances as Annette in God of Carnage opposite Ralph Fiennes and Meredith in Gethsemane for The National Theatre.

 

Paul Ritter (Dad)

Paul Ritter's work in theatre includes The Norman Conquests (Old Vic and Broadway, for which he received an Olivier nomination for best supporting actor and a Tony nomination for best featured actor. TV includes Pulling, He Kills Coppers, City Lights, Instinct, Waking the Dead, Viva Blackpool, Nostradamus, Girl in the Café, Peterloo, Fields of Gold, Big Cat, Out of Hours, The Bill, National Achievement Day, Seaforth and Small Change. Film includes Nowhere Boy, Quantum of Solace, The Other Man, Hippie Hippie Shake, Son of Rambow, Hannibal Rising, On a Clear Day, The Libertine, Joyrider, Esther Khan, The Nine Lives of Thomas Katz and Greenwich Mean Time.

 

Simon Bird (Adam)

Simon played Will on E4's BAFTA-nominated sitcom and feature film The Inbetweeners Movie.

He was named Best Male Comedy Actor at the 2009 British Comedy Awards, having won Best Male Newcomer in 2008. He was also nominated for Best Male Comedy Actor at the 2009 BAFTA Awards and Best Comedy Performance at the 2008 Royal Television Society Awards. He has been a regular performer on the live comedy scene, both as a stand-up and as part of sketch group The House of Windsor (with Joe Thomas and Jonny Sweet).

Simon is currently, with Joe Thomas and Jonny Sweet writing his first sitcom, Chickens for Sky 1 HD.

 

Tom Rosenthal (Jonny)
British Comedy Award nominee Tom Rosenthal is one of the hottest names in the UK after a meteoric ascent following his comedy debut in 2007.
Combining a likeable charm with sharp, satirical wit, Tom quickly caught the eye as a stand-up by reaching the final of a host of prestigious competitions including the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year and the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year.
Tom's talents also extend to theatre and he made his West End stage debut in Laurence Olivier Award winning director Dominic Cooke's production for The Royal Court Theatre, Chicken Soup with Barley. The production secured a string of four and five star reviews, with Tom regularly cited for his performance in what was his professional theatre debut, and an adaptation of the production recently aired on BBC Radio 3.
Tom enjoyed an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2011 with his debut show, Child of Privilege, and his credits also include 8 Out of 10 Cats and Flat News for BBC Comedy Online.

He will play the lead in brand new ITV2 comedy Plebs, written by Tom Basden, which commences filming in September 2012.
