Cats Returns with a New Team Captain
Category: News ReleaseJon Richardson
Channel 4's ever-popular comedy panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats returns in June for an 11th run with a new team captain, Jon Richardson, who replaces Jason Manford.
Presenter and stand-up comic Jimmy Carr will host and oversee all the disputes and deliberations on topical events that set the great British public's chins wagging. Sean Lock remains as Jon's opposing team captain. Their teams will be completed by personalities from the world of comedy, entertainment and showbiz.
Teams will thrash out the hot topics of the week by examining surveys, opinion polls and statistics; discussing both silly and serious stuff. Subjects could include showbiz gossip, world politics and even the weather.
New Team Captain Jon Richardson said: "It's an absolute privilege to be asked to join the team on 8 Out Of 10 Cats. I would give vast sums of money to banter with Sean and Jimmy on a weekly basis, but to get paid to do so is truly a dream come true. If I can be half as good a team captain as Jason, in terms of wit, warmth and generosity, then I will be absolutely delighted. I can't wait to get started!"
8 out of 10 Cats is a Zeppotron production for Channel 4. The 9 x 30min series is commissioned by Entertainment Commissioning Editor, Darren Smith. The Executive Producers are Ruth Phillips and Richard Osman. Series Producer is Andrew Westwell.
