Inspired by the hit Channel 4.0 YouTube series, the chaotic comedy prank show will put three celebs to the test for a TV special edition on Channel 4.

Tapped Out is heading to Channel 4 for a supersized celebrity edition: Tapped Out Prank Stars. Harry Pinero will join host Nella Rose as they invite three famous showbiz faces – rapper ArrDee, comedian Fatiha El-Ghorri, and JLS singer Aston Merrygold – to take on extreme cringeworthy challenges all watched by a studio audience.

The celebs will be pushed to their limits, with Nella and Harry throwing chaotic twists into each challenge. The longer they can last before deciding to “Tap Out” of the mayhem, the better they’ll do, as the celeb competitor who endures the most time in the increasingly embarrassing tasks thrown at them will be crowned champion. The loser will face one final forfeit.

Host Nella Rose says: “I’m so so proud of the success of Tapped Out and absolutely cannot wait to team up with Harry over on Channel 4 to lay down some of the hardest challenges we’ve ever seen. These celebs won’t know what’s coming their way!”

Tapped Out Prank Stars is a 1 x 60 programme for Channel 4 created and produced by Wall of Entertainment with GroupM Motion Entertainment as co-producers. Wall of Entertainment's Tafara Makopa, Percelle Ascott, Joivan Wade, and Christopher Barbour are the show's executive producers, with Ben Hardy as director. Martin Oxley, Head of Formats & Entertainment (UK), is the Executive Producer for GroupM Motion Entertainment. It is commissioned for Channel 4 by Cimran Shah, Commissioning Editor for Reality & Entertainment, and Evie Buckley, Digital Commissioning Editor & Channel 4.0 Lead.

Channel 4’s Cimran Shah and Evie Buckley comment: “Tapped Out has been one of the most boisterous and brave shows on Channel 4.0 with millions viewing across our YouTube and social platforms. It’s so exciting to take all the wildest ingredients of this series to create an unpredictable all-star edition for Channel 4.”

Tafara Makopa, MD & executive producer, Wall of Entertainment comments: "Tapped Out is one of our strongest formats, and seeing it evolve from digital to television underscores how the digital landscape is transforming TV itself.”

Joivan Wade & Percelle Ascott, founders & executive producers, Wall of Entertainment add: "It’s incredibly special to be partnering with Channel 4 on 'Tapped Out Prank Stars.' This moment brings us full circle, as Channel 4 first opened the door for us with 'Mandem on the Wall'. Now, with our first commission for their main channel, it really reflects how far we've come and the journey we've been on.

The programme was funded by Channel 4 and GroupM Motion Entertainment’s Diverse Indies Fund. The Diverse Indies Fund was set up to support small and medium-sized ethnically diverse-owned independent production companies to produce new projects. The fund is overseen by Vivienne Molokwu, Senior Commissioning Editor at Channel 4, with Deep Sehgal, Head of Creative Diversity at GroupM Motion Entertainment.

GroupM Motion Entertainment’s Martin Oxley comments: “Tapped Out has continued to set new standards in pranking since it first hit Channel 4.0. So, we couldn’t be more delighted to be working with Channel 4 and Wall of Entertainment in taking Tapped Out Pranked Stars onto Channel 4, and look forward to seeing what Nella and Harry can throw at our celebrity guests.”

Tapped Out is an original format developed by Wall of Entertainment and commissioned for Channel 4.0, Channel 4's destination for the freshest new videos from the UK's biggest creators on YouTube. The three seasons of the raucous windup show, which first premiered in May 2023 on Channel 4.0, see Nella Rose, Adeola Patronne, Mariam Musa and & Chloe Burrows turn pranksters to see who can last the longest in the wildest and most cringeworthy situations: everything from playing a rude personal trainer at a gym to a penguin expert at London Zoo.

Tapped Out Prank Stars is currently in production and will TX in peak time on Channel 4.
