Channel 4 has commissioned Five Star Hotel from Little Gem and Motion Content Group.
The 15x60’ series for E4 will allow fans to brush shoulders with the stars and be welcomed in to a wonderland of fun and sunshine. The show will follow a team of five celebrities as they take on the challenge of delivering 5 Star Service at a boutique Mediterranean hotel.
As the team of celebrities wait on the guests hand and foot, endeavour to deliver top notch service and answer any complaints, will they be able to provide all that is asked of them? From arranging stag parties on yachts to unforgettable excursions, the celebs will have their hands full as they juggle everything that is thrown at them.
As the guests make the most of their summer holiday they will rate the celebrity staff and with the calibre of their work under constant scrutiny the pressure will be on the stars to keep standards high.
The celebrities will have to work together to show their guests a good time and make sure they don’t fail on the specific and sometimes demanding requests thrown at them in order to keep their Five Star rating.
As the temperatures rise in the Mediterranean, will the celebrities be able to keep their cool under pressure? Will anyone find some summer loving? And will they manage to get up in time to serve breakfast?
Five Star Hotel was commissioned by Channel 4 Head of Formats Dom Bird and Formats commissioning editor Kate Maddigan for E4 and is co-produced by Little Gem, Motion Content Group and Two Four who are production partners. Ben Gale and Natasha Bondy will executive produce for Little Gem; Caroline Davies and Andrew Mackenzie for Twofour and Abigail Adams for Motion Content Group.
Dom Bird said: "What could be better than a summer break in the sun, with all your needs taken care of by a team of celebrities? E4 is delighted to be opening the doors of the Five Star Hotel to our viewers. The only thing we can't guarantee is the quality of the service..."
Natasha Bondy added: "We look forward to hearing from people who want to holiday at the Five Star Hotel. They may be in the hands of stars more used to being waited on themselves but it's no good being a star if you haven't learnt a thing or two about throwing the perfect pool party or serving a mean cocktail”
Chris Sutherland, Head of Programming and Production at Motion Content Group UK added: “We are delighted to be forging a new relationship with Little Gem and supporting E4 with such a strong format.”
