Channel 4 acquisitions enjoy Emmy success

We’ve got our party hats on today, as we’re celebrating yesterday’s wins at the 66thprimetime annual Emmy Awards – with a grand total of 11 wins across our portfolio of acquisitions. Yippee!
Fargo, which launched on Channel 4 in April, secured three wins –Outstanding Miniseries, Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special for Colin Bucksey and Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special.
Julianna Margulies won her second Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for The Good Wife, while Allison Janney collected the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for Masters of Sex. The Big Bang Theory won two awards with Jim Parsons taking home the coveted Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show also won Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series.
The Simpsons collected three awards on the night with Outstanding Individual Achievement In Animation for the ‘Treehouse Of Horror XXIV’ for Color Design Director and Background Designer. They also picked up Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (Half-Hour) And Animation for ‘Married To The Blob’. Harry Shearer won Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for voicing the following characters on the hit series; Kent Brockman, Mr. Burns, Smithers, and Younger Burns.
Last but not least, comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine picked up the award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Comedy Series or a Variety Program.
The 66th Emmy awards took place last night in LA and were hosted by Seth Myers
