Channel 4 celebrates cult web series with weeklong Comedy Blaps fest
Category: News ReleaseFollowing roaring success over the past two years, clocking over 2.6 million views, Channel 4 today launches its mini Comedy Blaps fest, airing two original web shows from up and coming comedy talent.
With heady caffeinated bursts of comedy shots to keep you laughing all week long, the mini Comedy Blaps fest kicks off today with Daniel, a new mini-series that offers a three-part insight into awkwardness, and Still Reeling, a two-part father and son comedy starring Pat Cahill and Peep Show’s Matt King. Both shows are available to watch at http://comedyblaps.channel4.com. The second and final episode of Still Reeling will be released next Wednesday, 9th October while the remaining episodes of Daniel will be made available on Monday, 7th October and close out the Fest next Friday, 11th October.
Both Daniel and Still Reeling will be available on Channel 4.com as well as YouTube, Vimeo and as a podcast so there’s no excuse not to get involved.
Previously Channel 4 Comedy Blaps showcased the work of new comedians Claudia O’Doherty, Jamie Demetriou and James Kirk – their acclaimed mini-series can also be viewed on http://comedyblaps.channel4.com/.

The first episode Small Talk, which can be viewed now, finds Daniel trying not to kill the vibe at a dinner party with his housemates. The second, available on Monday, 4th October sees Daniel struggling to make ends meet and having to apply for Benefits. In the last episode, House Meeting, available to watch on Friday, 11th October, Daniel and his housemates sit down to iron out a recurring issue.
