Channel 4 commission Twofour to produce short form series for The Jump
Category: News ReleaseTwofour has been commissioned to produce a series of exclusive short form videos for Channel 4.com to support online engagement of new Factual Entertainment commission The Jump.
As well as capturing standout moments from the series, the videos, which form part of Channel 4’s new online 4Shorts brand, will provide viewers with an exclusive behind the scenes look at the celebrities’ experiences as they ready themselves for some of the most physically demanding challenges of their lives during the 10-part stripped series.
Twofour Digital’s Alex Moore, who is creative directing the shorts, said: “The Jump is going to be such a fantastic, action-packed series, and we want these shorts to capture all the nerves, drama, and excitement of the build-up and training. From mastering the various tricky disciplines to overcoming individual fears, we'll follow our celebs and experts' personal stories through the process.”
The shorts, commissioned by Channel 4 Senior Online Producer, Lizzy Keene, will be produced and directed by Rich Melton for Twofour.
The Jump, produced by Twofour and GroupM Entertainment, will follow twelve celebrities get to grips with the nerve shattering physical and mental discipline needed to compete in the most demanding and dangerous winter sports events, trained by expert coaches and Olympians.
Melanie Leach, Andrew Mackenzie and Rachel Watson are executive producing for Twofour. Tony Moulsdale and Abigail Adams are executive producing for GroupM Entertainment. The series was commissioned by Liam Humphreys, Head of Factual Entertainment, Channel 4.
The series kicks off early 2014.
4Shorts is Channel 4’s new online destination for short form content, announced last month at its Upfront 2014 event. 4Shorts offers viewers a range of specially commissioned innovative, diverse and experimental short form programmes featuring Channel 4 talent that are exclusively available online.
