Channel 4 commissions game to accompany winter sports series, The Jump

For the last two months a group of famous faces have been in training for the second series of Channel 4’s daring winter sports competition, The Jump.  Limbering up to take The Jump Cowbell Trophy from series one champion Joe McElderry, a group of brave men women who all have their eyes on the prize and are determined to land the perfect live ski jump.

 

This year fans of the show will also be able to download a brand new game for free which will allow them to tackle The Jump from the safety of their own home. The side scrolling stunt game for mobile devices will allow players to try and travel the furthest distance possible in a series of ski jumps, they’ll need to tuck in to maximise speed down the slope, release to time their jump somersault in the air for distance multipliers and land evenly for a speed boost. The game was commissioned by Channel 4 Games Commissioner Colin Macdonald and is available to download now on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and Kindle Fire. Colin Macdonald said: “We were all fans of the Horace Goes Skiing game back in the 80’s, so it’s a delight to finally be able to work on a tongue-in-cheek skiing game of our own for The Jump, ably delivered by developer, Trusted Developments of Oxford.”

The Jump will air on Channel 4 from Sunday 1st February 2015.
