Channel 4 commissions major documentary on the anti-vaccination movement

5 May 2021: Channel 4 has commissioned a timely and important feature-length documentary from Caravan and Quicksilver Media exploring the origins and growth of the anti-vaccination movement, and its impact on global efforts to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Rise of the Anti-Vaxx Movement (1x90’, working title) includes interviews with leading experts on the anti-vaccination movement, and some of its leading proponents, as well as parents on both sides of the battle.

Eamonn Matthews, Executive Producer, Quicksilver Media says: “Just at the moment when Covid vaccines offer the best chance for saving the lives of millions across the globe, the anti-vaxx movement has grown in strength.  The Rise of the Anti-Vaxx Movement (w/t) investigates this well-funded and organised movement and the methods it uses to draw in and hold its followers.”

The Rise of the Anti-Vaxx Movement (1x90’, w/t), is a Caravan and Quicksilver Media production for Channel 4 and Arte. It is directed by Colette Camden (Married to a Paedophile), produced by Flora Bagenal and the Executive Producers are Dinah Lord and Eamonn Matthews. The documentary is being distributed worldwide by All3Media International.
