Channel 4 series ‘Beeny's Restoration Nightmare' is to return for a second series.  Commissioned by Andrew Jackson and Katie Horswell at C4 Features, the 6 x 60-minute series is produced by indie Renegade Pictures and sees Sarah Beeny and her husband Graham Swift face the harsh reality of trying to preserve Rise Hall - an important example of architectural heritage - and follows their fight to give it a future.

The queen of property and her rather dashing husband will continue their battle to breathe new life into all corners of their listed 97 room mansion in Yorkshire.  They are determined to find a use for the Hall and save it as a family home. With only a part of the house restored and so much more in desperate need of attention they must up their game if they are to turn the fortunes of this building around.

Following a successful first 3 X 60 minute run, which peaked at 3.3 million viewers, the second series is set to deliver more audience information and advice as it focuses on Sarah and Graham's everyday struggle to restore all the state rooms and further bedrooms of their Georgian house on an increasingly tight budget. In the process the couple will delve into the fascinating social and architectural history of Rise Hall and show viewers how to restore and decorate - both on a grand scale and tight budget.

The series gives viewers a rare glimpse into how the self-deprecating property guru juggles work, life, her all-important family and an over ambitious renovation project. Sprinkled with all the setbacks and tribulations Sarah usually bemoans in other property developers, she is now destined to get a taste of her own medicine: Has she bitten off more than she can chew?

Andrew Jackson, Deputy Head of Features said; "The first series proved that Beeny fans loved seeing our Sarah putting her reputation on the line and the second series will be just as tough for her and Graham. Plus they'll be revealing some cute tricks of the trade we can use in our own homes."

The second series of Beeny's Restoration Nightmare is executive produced by Sue Davidson, alongside series producer Kurt Seywald and series director Kim Maddever, and airs later this year.
