Channel 4 reported a strong performance in the ratings last week, averaging a higher audience share than the same week in 2010 - the launch week of the final series of Big Brother.
Despite a launch programme of over 5m viewers for Big Brother last year, the strong performance of, amongst others, the Channel 4 Comedy Gala (averaging 2.6m viewers), Born to Be Different (2.6m), Camelot (2.5m), 24 Hours in A&E (2.5m), Come Dine with Me (2.3m), and Live from the Clinic (1.6m) have helped Channel 4 increase share year on year for the week in question.
From 6 June to 12 June 2011 Channel 4 outperformed the same week in 2010, reporting a 7.4% all hours share compared to 7.3% for the same period last year.
