Channel 4 to follow a Great Property Giveaway
Category: News Release
Channel 4 has commissioned a 1x60 tx pilot from Boomerang that will follow local Preston landlord Marco Robinson who is giving away a flat worth around £120,000 allowing a person the chance to get on the property ladder –for free.
Marco Robinson has announced he is on the search for a suitable new owner for the furnished property. As a successful property investor he has won the People’s Choice Best Real Estate Investor & Tatler’s best restaurants and made his fortune through business & property investment. He is now looking to give something back to the community.
His aim is to find a suitable owner who would benefit from having their own permanent residence. Marco is to spend the next few weeks in Preston meeting with people who would like to be considered.
Sam Grace, Director of Programmes at Boomerang said: "The lack of affordable housing is one of the biggest social issues faced by people today. This film will meet some of the families who have been most affected by the housing crisis. By giving away a property, Marco could transform lives forever."
Marco continued: "I didn’t have the easiest of upbringings, at one point my mother and I were forced to sleep on a park bench, but through extremely hard work I have been fortunate enough to reach a position where I now own a number of properties around the world. Now I want to give something back to someone who needs my help and would love to find someone for whom receiving this flat would be a life-changing event."
