Channel 4 Features has commissioned a fourth and fifth run of The Sex Education Show made by Remarkable Television, an Endemol company.

The Sex Education Show: Stop Pimping our Kids will examine how children are being sexualised from an increasingly early age, confront those responsible and campaign for change. From the pornification of the high street, to raunchy music videos and magazines that feature highly sexual content and are often displayed at child eye line, the fourth series will be stripped across a week in April.

Presenter Anna Richardson and Dr Radha Modgil will once again visit schools across Britain to answer hundreds of questions about sex and reassure pupils that no matter what they look like or whatever their sexual preferences, everyone is normal.

This year the series will also be taking the pupils out of school in unique field trips to learn firsthand about subjects ranging from STI's to fertility. Plus the programme will encourage parents and children to communicate more openly about sex and relationships in "Sex with Mum and Dad".

Later in the summer, The Sex Education Show will return with a six part weekly series which will include the results of a nationwide survey revealing sexual practices and attitudes of Brits to reflect the changing sexual landscape of Britain.

From the physically disabled to the blind, Anna will also discover the whys and how-tos of sex as she talks to those who often feel sexually invisible. Plus the programme will tackle the thorny topic of sex and religion.

Both series will be accompanied by the comprehensive and highly successful Sexperience website www.channel4.com/sexperienceuk, which will give viewers an opportunity to find out more about the issues raised in the programme and learn from others' experiences on a broad range of issues.

The Sex Education Show has been praised by healthcare professionals and was recently nominated for a Cultural Diversity and Stonewall award. The series was commissioned by Sue Murphy and Andrew Jackson at Channel 4 and will be executive produced by Oliver Wright and Colette Foster and series produced by Alicia Kerr.

Andrew Jackson, Channel 4 Deputy Head of Features, said: "The Sex Education Show is what Channel 4 does best. It defines public service broadcasting and, more importantly, it brings much needed sex education into millions of homes while also being great fun to watch."

Colette Foster, Managing Director of Remarkable Television comments; "We are delighted that The Sex Education Show is returning to Channel 4 for a further two series. We'd like to thank the teenagers, schools and parents who participated in the series to help us change peoples' attitudes to sex."
