Channel 4 partners with GetGlue

Category: News Release

Channel 4 has partnered with US social network GetGlue to offer stickers and rewards for some of E4's top shows.

Viewers will be able to earn exclusive stickers and rewards for brand new E4 drama series Beaver Falls.

The cross-promotion coincides with the series premiere of Beaver Falls (Thu 27 July, 9pm, E4) but will also include limited edition stickers for upcoming series of Bafta award winning shows such as Skins and Misfits. This is the first time that GetGlue are offering stickers from a network outside the US, and E4 will be the exclusive international launch partner.

GetGlue users will earn one-of-a-kind, collectible stickers before the series premiere and throughout the season simply by checking-in to these shows. One of the Beaver Falls stickers will serve as an entry into a competition to win a vacation to the US and demonstrates how GetGlue forms an integral part of the digital marketing campaign supporting the show.

E4 viewers will also be able to level up and unlock fan and superfan stickers for checking in through the season.

E4 will promote the engagement with on-air, on-platform and social media call outs to drive users to check-in using GetGlue.

"Engagement is growing quickly among UK users, so joining forces with E4 in the UK for our first international partnership is a huge win for us," said GetGlue founder and CEO Alex Iskold. "Fans of E4 shows like Skins and Misfits are passionate and vocal, and we're pleased to be able to reward them for their loyalty to their favorite programs."

"We know that our audience chooses to connect and socialise with each other online while watching E4, and GetGlue is the perfect platform for this type of activity," said Steve Forde, Head of Digital Marketing, Channel 4. "Partnering with GetGlue is an easy and innovative way to increase social engagement with shows like Beaver Falls."

The GetGlue partnership will join a range of activity that is being used to support #BeaverFallsE4 series premiere on E4 - http://www.channel4.com/info/press/press-packs/beaver-falls-digital-doo-dahs-and-dvd

About Beaver Falls - http://e4.com/beaverfalls

Meet Flynn (Samuel Roberston), A-Rab (Arsher Ali) and Barry (John Dagleish). They are three British chancers, fresh out of uni who are determined to have one last summer of carefree irresponsibility before facing the real world. And they're going out in style. They've blagged themselves jobs at Beaver Falls; an elite American summer camp for the ridiculously beautiful teenage offspring of California's rich and powerful.

This is a summer job that requires them to be responsible. To set an example. To be role models... whatever. There's no way they're going to let the job spec get in the way of their single-minded pursuit of ‘The Ultimate Summer'. Two months of hanging out, getting into mischief, and chasing girls beckon and these boys are all set for the time of their lives. If they can just get through it without getting found out and deported...

Directors Daniel O'Hara (Being Human, Skins) and Jack Clough (Skins) take the helm. The 6 x 60' series is created by Iain Hollands, series produced by Liz Lewin and is Exec Produced by Charlie Pattinson and George Faber for Company Pictures.
