Category: News Release

Channel 4 and Sky Bet’s recently launched free-to-play game – Pick 6 – is to offer a £50,000 jackpot this Saturday, 9th April to coincide with Grand National Day.

The free game is centred on six races across the day.  Lucky participants who pick the winner in all races stand the chance to win a wad of cash!

The game is also offering a £10,000 jackpot for the Thursday and Friday shows, in preparation for Saturday’s £50,000 big win.

To order to take part in the Channel 4 Pick 6 game, participants can go to channel4.com/picksix, then select one horse in all six Pick 6 races plus an answer to a tie-break question before submitting their entry.  All Pick 6 selections must be made before the official scheduled off-time for the first nominated race.  Full terms and conditions are available online.

Since its January 2016 launch, Pick 6 has attracted over 250,000 unique players with the opening day of Cheltenham Festival drawing 101,000 players.

Channel 4’s coverage of the three-day Grand National Festival starts today at 8am (April 7th) with The Morning Line and afternoon coverage live from 1:45pm.  Timings are repeated on Friday.

On Saturday, 9th April, the extended Morning Line from 9 - 11am will begin Channel 4’s full day programming centred on the Grand National. This is followed by a three-hour Weekend Brunch special and afternoon racing live from 2:00pm to 6:30pm presented by Clare Balding and Nick Luck.  They will be joined by the 20-time Champion Jockey, Sir Anthony McCoy, Mick Fitzgerald and Alice Plunkett; with Emma Spencer, Jim McGrath and Graham Cunningham providing unrivalled analysis from the track-side studio.

The Grand National comes under starters orders at 5:15pm.

Channel 4’s award winning #1 app Horse Tracker will run across all three days of the Grand National Festival for all televised races with its enhanced map facility that provides visual representation as to where your selected horse(s) are within any televised race – particularly useful for the 40-runner field of the Grand National. The app will also highlight the audience’s favourite - the most popular and tracked horse. The app also provides a range of in-race data for individual horses, for example speed and distance to leader.

Channel 4 Racing is sponsored by Dubai.
