Drones in Forbidden Zones

Having explored the beer cathedral that is Bass Maltings in Lincolnshire, the epic towers of Willington Power Station in Derbyshire, and the ghostly vestiges of derelict Camelot Theme Park in July, August brings us three more Drones In Forbidden Zones. Centring on accessing dangerous or difficult locations, our urban exploration drones now get privileged access to:

-          The Crossrail tunnel at Bond Street - get a preview of Europe’s largest hidden building site

-          HMP Kingston - a prison haunted by murderers and lifers

-          Farnborough Wind Tunnels - top secret for 40 years, these are the wind tunnels that made British aviation history

Circus Girls

We spotlight six women strong in body and mind, exploring what it takes to achieve the feats, strength and grace that epitomise the modern female circus performer. These six outstanding acts explain why they got into circus life, take us through their rigorous training routines, and put on an exclusive performance for All 4 viewers:

-          Imogen Rose Macrae – A Swings performer who strives to transcend showy tricks by adding a layer of narrative to her soaring performances

-          Lynn Scott – Northern Irish Scott transforms juggling into a Zen-like spectacle

-          Lily Raptor – A contortionist who performs her alien-like characters to enraptured audiences around the world

-          Angelica Thistel – A thrilling Straps performer who had a life in fashion and other arts before finding the circus gave her even more opportunities to express all aspects of her creativity

-          Missy Macabre – A Fire Eater who quit college to join the circus and loves anything to do with fire, nails and broken glass

-          Le Renn – The Aerial Hoops duo made up of Jackie Le and Rebecca Rennison. Their performance relies on the other’s strength and discipline to pull off incredible feats of acrobatics.

Crazy Sexy Cool

Presented by actress and fashion store-owner Meryl Fernandes, this six part series centres on fun visits to influential celebrities who take us through their wardrobe, picking out their ‘craziest’, their ‘sexiest’ and their ‘coolest’ outfits. We hear the stories behind the outfits, spend some quality time with our host in their home, and Fernandes advises how we can recreate the look on the high street. It features:

-          Gizzi Erskine – presenter of Cook Yourself Thin and Cookery School

-          Kimberly Wyatt – ex Pussycat Doll and Got to Dance judge

-          Jamie Laing – Made in Chelsea star

-          Jennifer Metcalfe – Hollyoaks actress

SeXXXy Tats

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/sexxxy-tats

If you’re a fan of Tattoo Fixers, SeXXXy Tats shows an equally fascinating – or perhaps regretful - journey of the needle and ink. Six individuals share their naughty tats in naughty places, the thinking behind them, and their outlook on the bizarre, beautiful, and questionable artwork they add to themselves. We’re talking sexual conch shells, feathers in hard to see places, flowers below the panty-line and of course a lover’s name on a gentleman’s manhood.

What Not To Do

3rd August http://www.channel4.com/programmes/what-not-to-do (URL not live)

Alex Brooker presents this six-part series where a disabled, and non-disabled actor play up to those hard to watch, awkward situations. The unsuspecting members of the public witness the inappropriate behaviour of the non-disabled character towards the other, teaching us just what NOT to do. Situations include whilst on a date, in a bar, welcoming a new starter, conducting a job interview, at the hairdressers, and in a nail salon.

A Moment of Horror

27th August (URL not live)

1st September (videos live, after exclusive showing at Frightfest)

A Moment of Horror consists of six terrifying short films that will disturb your perception of the mundane, and plant images in your head that will make you think twice before turning off the light at night.

The films’ directors include Rose Glass (Room 55, Film of City Frames), Lee Lenox (AmStarDam) and Weonika Tofilska (winner of Frightfest’s Short Cuts to Hell competition.) Talent for the series includes Alice Lowe, David Oakes, Alexa Brown and Elizabeth Chan.

The creepy encounters in the series include: the tale of a young mother who discovers she feeds something much more sinister than her own baby; a janitor who notices the doors he closes on his nightshift never remain shut; and an anxiety sufferer whose troubles take a physical form during a bath-time black out.
