Channel 4's Comedy Gala
Category: News ReleaseTX: May
Channel 4's Comedy Gala returns for a third year and assembles some of the nation's best-known and most-loved comedy and music stars to share the stage at this iconic charity event.
Headlining at this year's extravaganza is Jessie J, opening the show with an exclusive live performance. The incredible all-star line-up also includes Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre, Jonathan Ross, Micky Flanagan, Sean Lock, Kevin Bridges, Jo Brand, Jack Whitehall, Jack Dee, Jon Richardson, Seann Walsh, Lee Nelson, Josh Widdicombe, Paul Chowdhry, Andi Osho, Keith Lemon, Reginald D Hunter and Alan Carr.
The gala, filmed in May at London's 02 Arena, features top-quality stand-up alongside specially-written and performed sketches. And the laughter doesn't stop there, with Jimmy Carr and Alan Carr teaming up again to hijack the ads. Viewers are advised to stick close to their sofas during the commercials to see if they can spy the Carrs in multiple spots through this year's transmission.
And the entire cast of famous faces has given up their time to help Channel 4 mount what has become one of the biggest annual comedy TV events of the year - all in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
