Channel 4 today announces new appointments to the Specialist Factual and Documentaries commissioning teams. All three appointments will bolster the overall Factual commissioning team overseen by Deputy Chief Creative Officer & Head of Factual Ralph Lee.

Experienced filmmaker and executive producer Alf Lawrie and Shaminder Nahal, currently Deputy Editor of Channel 4 News, will be joining the Specialist Factual Commissioning team, reporting into Head of Specialist Factual John Hay. Michelle Chappell, currently Commissioning Editor of Factual, News and Current Affairs at Channel 5, will join the Documentaries commissioning team, reporting into Head of Documentaries Nick Mirsky.

Ralph Lee says: "I'm really excited to have Alf, Shaminder and Michelle joining the factual team.  The long term renewal of the existing factual slate will really benefit from their contributions."
