The Circle - Episode 3 Daily Drop

Last night, Jennifer  - who was pretending to be a 34-year-old Junior Doctor - became the first player to be blocked from The Circle.  Before her exit, she had the opportunity to meet one player. The remaining players morph into nervous balls of energy as they wait for a potential visit from the blocked player.

Jennifer surprises Genelle in her apartment and quickly notices Santanna’s highchair – she’s shocked but happy to learn that Genelle has her ‘baba’ with her. Having bonded in The Circle they are clearly happy to meet each other and to see that they are ‘real’ and Jennifer sneaks a peek at Santanna who is asleep in the bedroom. Talk turns to the other players and Genelle admits that she almost told Dan about Santanna. Jennifer is wary, although she likes Dan, she feels he ‘slips into laddish ways’ and warns that Genelle could be next in the ‘firing line.’

It’s a new day in The Circle. Following last night’s blocking, Dan and Alex aka Kate, are no longer Influencers. Dan is on a mission to find out who Jennifer visited. Aiden thinks it was Kate while Sian thinks Jennifer visited Freddie. 

As day turns to night, players all get ready for a party that they won earlier in the day. Aiden opens a private chat with Kate/Alex and asks for advice on the Mitchell situation. Kate/Alex: ‘Keep an open mind.’ Talk turns to make-up and Aiden mentions ’I’m snatching my eyebrows to f**k!’ Alex/Kate stands confused, ‘Snatching my eyebrows to f**k, what does that mean, I need to go and get my little black book of tips?’ and rushes off.

Players have been invited to update their profile pictures, to one that reflect the party vibe. The party begins and players dance around their apartments. The Circle invites them to play a Movie Game – they must describe their sex life in a movie title. Sian: ‘Fast and Furious,’ Freddie opts for ’50 Shades…’ and Mitchell receives a collective laugh with ‘Home Alone.’

During the party, The Circle drops a clanger with the news that ‘Christopher’ has joined the game.

But Christopher is actually 22-year-old Sinead from Wales. She moves into her apartment, and is soon uploading her fake profile, 65-year-old antiques dealer Christopher. After introductions from the other players, Sinead/Christopher tells them that he is ‘excited to get started.’

All of the players are intrigued and eager to introduce themselves. Sian tells Sinead/Christopher that he can be her ‘Circle granddad.’ Dan is unconvinced by the profile picture and likens it to ‘an old man stock picture…nothing unique.’

With the party over, Dan opens up a private chat with Genelle, eager to find out what the ‘surprise’ is that she hinted at yesterday. Dan: ‘I want to find out what she’s been hiding, I think she has a child.’ Genelle tells Dan she has a child but doesn’t mention that Santanna is with her in the apartment. Genelle: ‘I don’t think in a million years he’d think I have her with me.’

As the players settle in for bed, Mitchell opens a private chat with Aiden for some pillow talk. He says he is ‘thinking’ of her while lying in bed. Aiden is more than flattered and at the end of the increasingly warm chat, she jokingly tells Mitchell that she will leave her apartment door unlocked.
