Claudia Winkleman returns to ask One Question
Category: News ReleaseChannel 4 has recommissioned Chalkboard TV with Motion Content Group to make a six-episode second series of the entertainment quiz show One Question. Claudia Winkleman returns to host the show, with just One Question for game pairs hoping to win £100,000.
One Question is a seemingly simple yet deceptively difficult general knowledge quiz in which pairs of contestants must answer just one question correctly. But that one question comes with 20 possible answers and only one is correct. All the players must do to win £100k, is choose which is the correct answer. Eliminate the incorrect answers and they’ll be on the path to victory, but if they eliminate the one correct answer it’s game over.
On returning to the One Question hot seat, Claudia Winkleman said: “I’m completely obsessed with this show and am so happy we get to do it again. No buzzers, no fancy lighting, no hoo haa. Just one question and I can give our brilliant players 100k. Plus there’s sitting down. I’m a big fan of sitting down.”
Tom Beck, Commissioning Editor for Channel 4, said: “We had a lot of fun making One Question and it was a joy to see our viewers respond so positively to it. It’s brilliant to have the incomparable Claudia Winkleman back to be asking that all important one question.”

One Question is a 6 x 60 series for Channel 4. It was commissioned by Phil Harris, Head of Entertainment and Events and Tom Beck, Head of Live Events and Commissioning Editor, Entertainment. The series is produced by Chalkboard TV and Motion Content Group. The executive producers are Mike Benson and Bill Hobbins for Chalkboard and Martin Oxley for Motion Content Group.
One Question is licensed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
